About Us

The Litorco Martial Arts Association is a family-run, nonprofit dojo that teaches Zen Karate.

Our style combines techniques from Shotokan Karate, Taekwondo and kickboxing, and participants have successfully competed in tournaments at the local, provincial, national and international level.

By providing world class competitive martial arts instruction, we aim to:

  • Promote physical and mental health through physical exercise.
  • Teach the concept of "Black Belt Excellence", which states that students learn self-control, perseverance, integrity, respect, indomitable spirit and truth through martial arts practice, and leanring to apply these principles in their everyday lives.
  • Build and strengthen the local martial arts community by hosting seminars for instructors of other schools.
  • Make martial arts more accessible to students of all income levels by fundraising to subsidize tournament and seminar registration fees.
